GREG IN GOOD COMPANY is rock ‘n’ roll full of heart and soul, led by modern-day troubadour Greg Gilman — a fiercely independent spirit who has made a name for himself in the Southern California music scene through his own critically acclaimed performances, as well as constantly providing performance opportunities for other artists through Writers ‘Round: Los Angeles.

The L.A.-based band blasted into 2025 with rollicking folk rock single ”Change I Know,” which was added to regular rotation on 88.5 FM The SoCal Sound’s HD3 station Bilingual Sounds and declared by Grimy Goods to be among the best new songs released in January. The band was invited to record their first Jam in the Van session this past spring, and embarked on an 8-city summer tour to Portland, Oregon, after getting invited to play the Umpqua Valley Summer Arts Festival. The band will close out the Awakening 2025 psychedelics conference in L.A. with a set on Oct. 4, and is set to play the city’s most iconic club, the Troubadour, on Nov. 9.

"It’s Americana meets country meets rock & roll with moody hooks, heartfelt lyrics and creative songwriting that drive home each song’s message," wrote Music Connection in a live review. "If you like upbeat Americana music, you’ll love Greg in Good Company."

”GIGC’s music is American to the core,” wrote Beats Per Minute while reviewing 2023 single “Home,” which the music blog praised for having “the heart and power of Bruce Springsteen’s best work.” It’s among the 10 tracks on the band’s latest album Quiet Days and Quiet Nights — an LP six years in the making — which Twangville described as “a mighty fine racket.” The album features previous singles “(Heaven Is) A Moment Here with You,” “Just a Sunset” and “Mulholland at Midnight,” which Nashville music blog Underground Music Collective hailed as “a masterpiece.”

Cinematic melodies paired with heartfelt lyrics and irresistible harmonies have become hallmarks of the band’s unique sound — a mix of alternative rock, folk, country, pop and soul — topped off by Greg’s dynamic and raspy vocals, also drawing comparisons to Marcus Mumford, The Lumineers, and John Mellencamp. No Depression complimented GIGC’s first album for creating “truly powerful and cathartic vibes,” mixing “the the guttural soul musings of Ray LaMontagne with the jubilant psychedelic folk vibes of Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes.”

After 2019 single “Monster’s Lair” spent six months straight in regular rotation on one of L.A.’s most beloved adult alternative rock stations, 88.5 FM The SoCal Sound, GIGC slowly began recording and releasing more singles, toured the country, and was invited to perform at one of Montana’s largest music festivals the Red Ants Pants Music Festival as well as the 2023 NAMM show in Anaheim, CA, followed by a hefty summer tour up and down the coast of the Golden State in 2024.

Additionally, Greg has been performing alongside Grammy winners for years as part of acclaimed artist collective Flight of Voices, and regularly hosts the best singer-songwriters from the LA music scene and beyond at WR:LA — the city’s only weekly Nashville-style songwriter round showcase, which has inspired artists to launch affiliated chapters in San Diego, Orange County, Knoxville, New Jersey, Orange County, Fullerton, Laguna Beach and Portland, collectively working toward the goal of becoming a national organization that builds, serves and connects independent music communities.
